Planning your visa interview day
- Keep your passport, appointment letter and documents together in one folder the night before.
- Check the consulate’s own website for what you may carry inside. If bags or electronics are not allowed, leave them in your apartment.
- Have breakfast in the apartment so you are not looking for food at dawn.
- Leave early and keep a buffer for traffic and security queues.
- After the interview, come back, rest and catch your train or flight without rushing.
Coming from another city?
Most applicants arrive the day before. Mumbai airport is 20 to 25 minutes from us, and check-in is self check-in, so a late flight is not a problem. If your interview is on a Monday or after a holiday, consider arriving a day earlier to stay relaxed.
